Just found out that my cat Boo is apparently undergoing kidney failure. They’ve said he’s not going to make it past this week.

I’m just, really sad and I don’t know what to do, this came out of nowhere, he’s not even that old. 

i mean i guess i should go to bed now so i can sort of pretend to have a normal sleep schedule for when my moms in town

and pack a bunch in the morning

but there’s like someone breaking logs outside my front window? it’s weird.  

maybe i’ll just eat some anchovy pizza and call it a night

had a lovely grilled salmon and corn on the cobb dinner provided by my roommate

made it to season 3 of peep show

got my boxes and packing stuff out of the basement

haven’t actually started packing yet

awesome

didn’t get out of bed until 3 today

watched a bunch of peep show

still wearing pajama pants

it’s been a good day

it’s too stormy to want to leave the dorms at 4 am

it’s biological semiotics, it fulfills my last science credit, and that’s only one of various topics we’ve covered! I also had to write about cuttlefish communication and sexual selection and ethology vs physiology and unique animal umwelt. it was an awesome class, but it was pretty dense

heeeeey I like Backfire at the Disco, Kill the Director and Let’s Dance to Joy Division. I don’t listen to the rest of that album. I like this though!

yessss Kill the Director is one of my favorite songs of theirs! I recently downloaded all their stuff and have been listening to it on repeat, a lot of it is really good

i’ve seriously been working on this final for the last 8 hours and can finally begin to see the end. it’s so dense and the weather is so warm and i’ve just been sitting here and i’m going stir crazy. 

so i’ll just keep listening to the wombats on repeat and think about complex monkey facial patterning by myself

Wow, another one! Cool, let’s see if I can come up with 10 new facts, hmm…

1. I have a cat named Chessie. She’s like my soulmate. This is my tag page for her, if you care to check it out.
2.  I was born in North NJ, grew up in South NJ, commuted to an art high school in Philadelphia, and have lived in Chicago for the last three years for college. 
3. I’ve travelled to the UK, Italy, France, Denmark, Norway, Hungary, Romania, Australia, Fiji, Belize, Honduras, Canada, Mexico and around the US. 
4.  I don’t have a major (we don’t need them at my school, it’s interdisciplinary.) I mainly focus in ceramics and printmaking, but I’ve also taken classes in watercolor painting, figure drawing, digital photography, designed objects, fibers, sound, and light metals.
5. Ummmm, shit I’m running out of ideas. Uh, my favorite fruit? It’s a tie between bananas, grapes and papaya. 
6.  I’ve got a lot of music. Like over 30,000 songs. I have a radio show at my school where I play my music so that it serves some purpose other than just taking up space on my computer. It’s called Gryphoemia, and exists over here.
7.  My favorite artist is Edward Gorey. 
8.  I’m a Unitarian Universalist, and this is a big part of my spiritual upbringing and a good source of my artistic inspiration. (I’m also agnostic, but with some occult practices.)
9.  I love figuring out categories to type people by (not as a serious endeavor, but I might include it in an art piece eventually). So like, Astrology, Myers-Brigs, Enneagram Types, etc. (I’m a Pisces, with my moon sign in Sagittarius and rising sign in Leo; a metal sheep in Chinese astrology; an INFJ, and a type 5w4).
10. I’m really into housing all my friends into Hogwarts houses. Pottermore has made this a lot easier. (My s/n is ThestralHowl93, you should friend me and let me know who you are!)

1. I’m over 6 feet tall (but not by much).
2. My favorite colors are red, purple, orange and black, including any combinations thereof

4. I don’t speak German. (I’m not fluent in any language other than English, I only know bits and pieces of French, Italian, Spanish and Mandarin.)
5. I have my own language called Gibberillins that I made in middle school. Like 12 other people also know it, and we write letters to each other.
6. ummm I’m an obsessive tea drinker. I made all my own teapots and cups and things. I also run a tea blog with my roommate, although we’re not the best at posting right now with stressful classes and everything. (it’s this blog here)
